FAQs

Why did you call your blog Leafy Plated?

When I started Leafy Plated, I wanted a name that captured the heart of plant-based cooking—fresh, vibrant, and full of life. “Leafy” nods to greens and vegetables, which are at the core of every dish I make, and “Plated” reflects the joy of bringing those meals to the table. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just looking to eat more plants, this blog is all about celebrating vegetables in creative, approachable ways.

I have a question about a recipe—can you help?

Absolutely! I try to reply to every question personally. The best way to get help quickly is to leave a comment directly on the recipe post. I check those daily and always do my best to guide you with helpful suggestions.

Can I substitute ingredients in your recipes?

Great question! My recipes are tested exactly as written for best results—but I understand the need for flexibility. Whether it’s allergies, availability, or just using what’s already in your kitchen, I’m happy to help. Just drop a comment on the recipe post and I’ll let you know if a substitution could work.

Can I share your recipes?

Yes, please do! I love when readers share my recipes. The easiest way is to send your friends and family the link to the post via email or social media.

And if you make something from Leafy Plated, don’t forget to tag me on Instagram @leafyplated—I love seeing your creations and often share them in my stories!

How do you test your recipes?

Every recipe you see on Leafy Plated is tested in my own kitchen, usually while I’m cooking for my family. That keeps things practical and realistic—because if a recipe works in a real-life, midweek cooking session, I know it’ll work for you too. I aim to reduce food waste and focus on approachable methods that fit into everyday routines.

Are you hiring?

Right now, I’m not actively hiring. But I do work with freelancers occasionally for things like web design, SEO, and editing. If you think your skills might be a good fit for a future project, feel free to email me your details at info@leafyplated.com. I’ll keep you in mind!

Do you collaborate with brands?

Yes, selectively. I occasionally work with brands that align with my values and mission—those focused on plant-based living, sustainable ingredients, or ethical kitchenware. If you represent a brand and think we’re a good match, you can reach me at dsk4334@gmail.com to discuss potential collaborations. Please note: I turn down most offers that don’t align with my personal food philosophy.

Can I request a specific recipe?

Definitely! I love getting recipe requests—it helps me create the kind of content you actually want to see. I can’t promise I’ll be able to develop every request, but I take all suggestions seriously. Feel free to email me or drop a comment on a recipe post.

How do you decide what recipes to post?

Most of my recipes come straight from my own kitchen—what I’m craving, what’s in season, or what’s trending that I want to try with a plant-based twist. Some are old favorites I’ve made for years, and others are experiments that turned into new staples. If it’s seasonal, nourishing, and full of flavor, it’s probably going on the blog!

Can I submit a guest post?

Nope—all the content you see on Leafy Plated is created, tested, photographed, and edited by me. I don’t accept guest posts at this time.

Still got a question?

No problem—just send me an email at dsk4334@gmail.com and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
